Day 5

Another successful day. I did have to get gas (yes, in the cold rain... yes, it sucked), but that's all the money I spent. I need to buy some milk tomorrow or Wednesday, that will be a test! Buy milk & nothing else (well, maybe some juice, which is okay too)... I can do it, right?

Who Am I? What Is This?

Hi, I'm Helen. I'm the crazy lady who thought this would be a great challenge. A whole year without wasting money or resources (ie buying used instead of new).
The hubby (Luke) jumped right on board. Then, I asked some other great mamas to join me. So, here we are... Some crazy families making a HUGE commitment for one year - 2009.
The goal for our family is to be out of debt, other than our mortgage. We currently owe a little on Luke's car & a lot on my college loans. By sticking to this commitment we'll be able to pay off that debt! The sacrifices of the next year will (hopefully) lead to many more years of joy and, ultimately, financial freedom.
